Pontiac Montana Reliability And Durability: Pros | ||

2005 | 4dr Minivan, ext. 200-horsepower 3.5L V6 4-speed automatic FWD |
Our family really loves this Pontiac Montana SV6. This is our third Pontiac Montana, we have also owned a 2002 and a 2003 and both were the extended models. We have had great performce from this van and we have the premium model that has the Onstar, DVD player, Cd and also wireless stereo. I drive this van daily and the gas mileage is great, this van also drivews beautifully on the highway. We just turned 161,000 miles on it and have had to do expected repairs, wheel hub assembly and we also had the front struts and rear shocks replaced as the back shocks were leaking. When routine maintenance is followed, oil change, tune up and other required maintenance, we have had no problems. Our only complaint is the cloth seats that seem to stain very easily, even with water dropplets ... We feel that they could have chosen a better material full 2005 Pontiac Montana review |

Steering column problems were fixed under warranty, but kept comeing back. Still remain to this day and never 100% fixed. Brake rotors should not have warped so badly so soon. Wife is not an aggresive driver, so not abused. Nothing major so far. full 2006 Pontiac Montana review |

the intake and head gaskets will need changing for sure as soon as warranty is up! Big job and big money. Also the wiring from the crank sensors to computer become faulty after 150k and it will take 30-40 hours of shop time to fix. full 2002 Pontiac Montana review |
