The Nissan Murano uses a dynamic engine anti-vibration system wherein the front and rear engine mounts have pistons driven by electrical motors. This configuration allows the ECU to adjust the stiffness of the engine mounts depending on how fast the engine is revving to minimize vibrations entering the cabin. It is a brilliant system but it also means that the front and rear engine mounts are more expensive than your plain rubber-on-metal mounts. I could also feel a hesitation in the car when the accelerator is depressed quickly. It would describe it as a series of thuds that would last until I eased off on the accelerator. This issue has also now been fixed.

On 3/20/17 both rear brake rotors and pads were replaced. Commencing sometime after this replacement, owner started noticing a slight vibration around 50-60 MPH. This progressively got worse and during the month of March 2018, was becoming increasingly more frequent. Several things were tried but did not work. When tires were balanced at Costco on 3/13/18, the attendant suggested a rotor may be warped since the left rear wheel did not freely spin. Going back to shop were the rotors and pads were replaced 3/20/17 revealed the caliper on the left rear wheel had seized causing the rotor to warp. Both brake calipers, rotors and pads were replaced and vibration problem finally corrected.

Have to go back to first dealer since it was warranty item.
Jan 2011 79000 mi	Two dealers missed the fact that the left control arm bushing was broken (badly). This was after one dealer replaced the same side axle. I believe the bushing was broken at that time and they missed it. Independent Midas people found it. Needed new oil pan gasket...just old. Had same Midas guy check the exhaust and he confirmed second dealer's notice of 1st dealer non replacement of exhaust shield. Turns out first dealer didn't mess with that part of the exhaust and the shield on front manifold just rusted off. Dealer confirmed missing front exhaust bracket and shield. Probably rusted off and they agreed to replace as they had once repaired the exhaust but claim they didn't touch that part. Ordered part. 1st dealer in above saga finally replaced vibrating and noisy exhaust bracket. No charge but did not admit guilt. Did admit complete change of personnel since I stopped going to that dealer. Same on who missed the bad control arm.
