Mar 2017 25000 mi	Transmission shifts hard into lower gears, this is worse on a cold start. In addition, on colder days it slams into gear between 2nd and 3rd on upshift and downshift. The plastic trim around the door handles pulls up when the door is pulled shut. It does not come completely off the handle, but it moves. The Driver Information System reported a bad SD card for the GPS system. GPS fails to function. Dealer found that the SD slot is bad, and part is on indefinite back order.

Dealership replaced the fuel pump modulator as it was faulty and it was tell the fuel pump that there was an excess of fuel pressure when there wasn't so the engine wasn't getting the fuel it needed to fuel. Replacement of the part seemed to fix the issue.

Total cost of billed to warranty for these repairs was around $6,000 and nothing was fixed.

If you are not handy go to AutoZone and by the Dorman part and take it to your mechanic to install. If you take it to Ford they will want to replace the entire shift cable assembly and it is expensive!

The dealer attempted to fix, but could not.
Apr 2016 17000 mi	Check engine lights began to appear, car felt as if running on 3 cylinders, nearly stalling. Dealer consulted Ford and applied various TSBs and fixes. Car declared fixed and returned, though the car failed outright a few weeks later. Gasoline engine failed completely. Dealer worked with Ford and eventually discovered that the cylinder head has been improperly manufactured. The engine was disassembled and reassembled a number of times and the head and internals replaced. Hill-holder not functioning. I suspected that it was accidentally disconnected internally as a result of a prior repair. I was right. Dealer connected the wires and reassembled the center console and this fixed the problem. Telematics system (remote start, GPS location, remote unlock, etc.) no longer working in many locations. Ford elected to use a 2G cellular network that is being retired by AT&T in most of the US. All 2013-2016 Fords will now fail in 2017.

Trunk was installed with incorrect torsion bars from factory, trunk lid would not stay up. TSB 13-05-18 was performed and correct torsion bars were installed. Turn signals would cancel too quickly during certain types of turns. SSM 44909 called for an update to the SCCM (Steering Column Control Module) to fix this. Steering wheel radio buttons would periodically be inoperative after calling Sync Services. SSM 45012 called for an update to the SCCM to fix it. Since the SCCM was already updated as part of the turn signal issue nothing else was needed.

Dash will periodically reboot while driving. Screens go black and speedometer goes to 0 then reboots. Dealer "could not replicate" the problem. Trunk squeaked when opening & closing. Trunk hinges were lubricated. Transmission is leaking. Dealer claims that it is just "seeping" and not dripping and thus there is "no problem". They consider the huge wet spot on the panel to be "normal". They ignored the Ford TSB about this issue. Engine Block Heater use caused an error code to be thrown. Reprogrammed per TSB.
