May 2022 7500 mi	Transmission slipping in lower gears intermittently, maybe once a month. Dealer replaced valve body under warranty. Problem continues, difficult to diagnose because intermittent. The conditions are sometimes when stopped with the transmission in gear as you might at a stoplight, if the wait is a long time there is no drive when you press the accelerator. The engine revs but it is like the transmission is in neutral. After several seconds the car will begin to very slowly move forward and the transmission slips a lot until you reach a speed of 10-15 mph and then it begins to pull again. It seems after you get to third gear it works normally and may or may not slip the next time you stall. Also sometimes, again rarely, there are slippages in first and second with very rough shifts.

Parts are on order and the car is scheduled to go back in early July for replacement of the torque converter, and to inspect/replace some other internal parts. The dealer also reported that the transmission had been leaking slightly, at the electrical connector on the top of the transmission. So, the transmission has been running with low fluid level for some time - not sure what they will do about that - hoping that they don't put a new torque converter in a transmission that has excess wear from the low fluid level! We will see what they do.

The best way I can describe this is it feels like a bad u-joint on a rear wheel drive car. The symptoms are very similar but since the Edge is FWD it shouldn't happen. The dealer re-flashed the transmission control module module with the latest software in an attempt to resolve this issue. It has improved some but still occurs.

May just be the setup of the 20" wheel combo on the Titanium Edge. This is the fourth wheel alignment, 4 balances and 10 tires, but still have vibration off one of the new Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires that just is within 20lbs road force balancing tolerances. Neither Ford nor Pirelli will do more. Have actually had it with this vehicle. It is so enervating to drive over any distance. BTW, I do transport cars on the side for dealerships so have a great, broad idea of how cars drive. This one is one of the worst I have ever driven. Really unfortunate as I do like the vehicle overall.

After 100k always pay attention to coolant loss as this could be a sign of impending failure. Fortunately, my wife was just idling in a parking lot when vehicle overheated. Made a short drive home where coolant overflow tank was empty, but plenty of coolant in remainder of system. Noticeable fluid loss from weep hole behind alternator. Falling down around the oil pan. Empty oil pan, no coolant in oil- Thank God. Performed H2O pump replacement along with T-chain, chain guides, and tensioner. This is a $2500+ service @ the dealer. As they would drop the engine to perform this service. I completed for $550 in ALL New FORD parts. 1000 mi since no issues

The driver seat would move under heavy acceleration and hard braking, it also moved if you put your hand on the bottom of the seat and the headrest, it would rock back and forth about 1/2 inch. They told me that was normal. So I took them to the showroom and tried to move a seat in an Edge and it didn't move. They ordered the part and fixed the seat.

A lot of the times that doesn't work. We found if we keep it in drive and "crawl" down the driveway (under 5 mph) then open it while moving, it will delete the alert. If that doesn't work, I have found that if the passenger window is opened prior to the driver door being closed, the alert normally doesn't come on. All else fails we drive with the alarm reminding us :-(

Apparently its a stock issue as the dual exhaust pipes are too close together and they ring. It is a problem I was told has happened to more than just myself. Body kit on right side had a clip come loose and consequently the corner of the kit was sticking off the car at least half an inch. Was fixed in one session. Replaced entire exaust. Apparently the dual exhaust pipe were too close together; a problem that Ford already knew about. It did take a month to receive the part.

On second year and attempt to repair was done, worked for 6 months. Due to warranty expired (despite promise to repair for free), too expensive.

From inside the car, could hear a hissing noise coming from the brake pedal. At the Petrol Station brake fluid was checked and was below LOW. Brake fluid was refilled but hissing noise coming from the brake pedal has to checked by the Ford Dealer (no time yet to go, Chrsitmas, and New Years Eve). Car brakes are OK, except for the hissing noise and "hard" pedal feeling while braking. I suspect something wrong with BRAKE-ASSIST system.

Apr 2009 24000 mi	Memory mirrors would not hold the setting. New mirrors ordered. Dealer has to paint them then install. corrosion on the wheels. New wheels ordered. After the car sits for several hours or overnight the transmission stutters between 1st and second gear. They said they flashed the trans program. Next morning same problem.

Jun 2009 17000 mi	Driver side interior door panel misshaped near window/door lock area. Likley needs to be replaced. Part on order.

Jul 2009 24000 mi	Seal broken between the windshield and dashboard so all the trim was pushing out and had a moldy smell. The trim in the back window was also bulging out between the window and the car and dangling from the window. burning smell coming through the vents. power steering had to be replaced.

Jul 2007 3000 mi	Air bag light had come on. Passenger side airbag wiring installed so that when passenger adjusted seat normally, the wiring was torn apart.
Jan 2008 8000 mi	Air bags on passenger side again. Once again the wiring under the passenger seat had been stripped...chewed? Nobody knows. Remote start stopped working; successful repair, now fine.
