A member from California, United States Best Reason to Buy the Toyota Tacoma: Reliability & durability The only problem I have with the 2005 Tacoma is that the front mud guards crack and bang on the bottom of the truck while driving. The mud flap problem is common according to other owners and the dealer will not warranty them. Big $$ to replace. Best Reason Not to Buy the Toyota Tacoma: Price or payments I paid +32,000 and could have purchased a full sized American truck for far less. Many switches including door locks and 4x4 switch are not lighted, which means they are hard to find at night.
