| Price of the Toyota RAV4: Cons | ||
| Year | Body/Powertrain | Comment |
| 2011 | 4dr SUV 179-horsepower 2.5L I4 4-speed automatic AWD | Price was high, dealer did not offer much of a discount or was willing to work with me on my trade-in |
| 2011 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD | A base RAV4 is quite inexpensive. Fully optioned, the price can balloon by a third. |
| 2008 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD | V6 more. Not a fair comparison. |
| 2008 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD | No incentives |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD | A bit more than the crv, didnt want to wait 3 monthes for a custom built one from toyo corp since brother works there. |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4 4-speed automatic AWD | Too pricey compared to a Honda. |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic FWD | Almost $5000 more than a comparably equipped Santa Fe. Depreciation will be better, but I tend to keep cars long term so upfront pricing matters to me. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4 4-speed automatic AWD | The RAV4 was a bit more expensive than comparable cars. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD | Significantly higher price than comparable vehicles. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4 4-speed automatic AWD | The vehicle is somewhat expensive, but the value is high because it offers alot for that money. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4 4-speed automatic FWD | Little more expensive than some competitors and no great financing rates either. I guess since the car is popular they know people will pay the extra. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4 4-speed automatic FWD | I have always thought that cars are way more expensive than they need to be. Toyota tends to be more expensive that most. |

| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic FWD | Before options, vehicle MSRP was just over $22,000 for my particular model. Price was right in line with my budget. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed automatic FWD | Found a reputable dealer that could sell me one for about $2,000 less then any other dealer around me for the same vehicle. The price made the difference. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic AWD | Best bang for your buck |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic AWD | Got this car used for $10,500, well below Blue Book value. Even at list prices the car is a good deal for the money. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed automatic FWD | Reasonably priced. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed automatic FWD | Leased using Ford employee pricing. Nice car for a really nice price- only $225 a month (36 months). |

| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD | Excellent value for the size of vehicle and space. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD | For the price a nice car. Only if you drive it where there are no wet/snowy roads. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic FWD | For everything you get in a Fusion, the prices are dirt cheap. |

| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD | Payments would have been a bit over my budget for the four-cylinder; out-of-reach for the six (no manual, either, so no sale!) |

| 2009 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD |
Mine has been 100% reliable with no repairs needed beyond normal servicing. Forget the media-hyped recalls and check the reliability stats here and elsewhere...their at/near the top of most surveys. Check out the Car&Driver Cute-Ute comparison articles. The V6 AWD version topped all other similar-optioned vehicles...even the newer-designed models. And the 4-cylinder version is still seen as a safe purchase holds its own against the lower-optioned versions. |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD |
Good quality interior materials except for headliner. Not quite as good as my 2008 Accord |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic FWD |
Tight fit. No rattles or squeaks. |

| 2010 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD |
Hard, very cheap plastics all over the interior. Creaks, rattles, squeaks and groans are plentiful in the interior. Road noise can be invasive at times. Very disappointing in a near 40k SUV. |
| 2010 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD |
Hard touch plastics for the price they are asking? No way! |
| 2010 | 4dr SUV 179-horsepower 2.5L I4 4-speed automatic AWD |
awful rattles and creaks when turning from drivers side, major reason to sell it after only 3 months, 8000 miles |
| 2009 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD |
Interior has held up well, but there's way too many hard surfaces on dash & doors. But it's comparable to other value-priced Cute-Utes (under $30K) designed & marketed prior to 2009. Most auto manufacturers have focused on upgrading the interiors since the later 2000s, when they re-design their vehicles. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic AWD |
Heating duct drains were not installed properly causing water to drain into passenger compartment. The evap cannister will fill with gas if you top up your tank beyond the first click at the pump, causing it to fail. Poor design. $1000 repair. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 269-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic FWD |
Interior materials are more spartan and more trucklike than competing models. Other than that, overall fit and finish is very good though. |

| 2013 | 4dr Sedan 141-horsepower 2.0L I4 Hybrid CVT FWD |
The interior materials are much higher quality than the Camry. The Camry felt very cheap, not like a car that costs over $30k. The Fusion felt like a more expensive BMW or Audi with the interior quality. There were no large gaps or uneven edges between materials. The exterior build quality is also better in the Fusion. The doors close smoothly and without being too heavy or too light. The hood fits very tightly with the frame. The trunk closes easily but without slamming. And, best of all, the trunk includes a little handle for closing so that you don't have to grab the exterior of trunk but can just close it with that handle. Just like my Saab does!! |
| 2010 | 4dr Sedan 175-horsepower 2.5L I4 6-speed manual FWD |
Fit and finish is on par with anything from Honda and Toyota. |

| 2010 | 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Everything seems to be put together well and this is coming from a Toyota Camry and Acura TSX owner. The only gripe is color choices, but charcoal gray is better than not having any choices at all. |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed automatic FWD |
Ford has come along way in making there cars more in line with three Japanese counterparts. Fit and finish is top rate and the quality of the interior is fantastic. No hard plastics and a overall excellent Vehicle. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic FWD |
The Ford Fusion displays a well appointed interior and exterior using many high quality materials. Nothing about the Fusion feels cheap or passed over in favor of cutting costs. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic FWD |
Everything looks well put together, not seamless but things look like they fit with each other. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic AWD |
Above average fit and finish. Nice materials in the interior including faux graphite trim on the dash. Good ergonomics. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic FWD |
Not perfect (my 2010 Flex is perfect) but certainly in line at this price point. Everything fits; nothing squeaks even at 70K miles (almost.) This is a keeper. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 221-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed automatic FWD |
The quality of the interior materials is on a par with other vehicles in its class and better than what was expected from Ford. |

I had several very obvious fit/finish issues, both interior and exterior. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed automatic FWD |
After an alignment when replacing tires, the mechanic showed me that the alingment A bar to move tire from front to back does not adjust, would need an aftermarket piece to fix if bad tire wear. |

some parts adjustments are approximative |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Again, just terrible. Obviously something wrong with clutch plate. Leather seats disconnected from front of seats. Plugs popping out of wheel well clips. Top of dashboard "glove" box would just pop up for no reason, almost causing accident. |
