Only non-luxury AWD vehicle available in wagon body

During Cash for Clunkers Subarus had limited incentives compared to other vehicles normally selling at a higher price point and with more content.

Best Reason to Buy the Subaru Outback: Handling
The car is very well balanced. The AWD and rugged suspension handle what ever you throw at it yet retain a level of ride comfort close to that of a big car without the big boat feel.

Other Reasons to Buy the Subaru Outback: Safety & braking, Driving position & visibility, Reliability & durability

Best Reason to Buy the Subaru Outback: Feature availability
standard AWD, heated seats, new HK sound system, and ext/int styling at a much lower price than VW, volvo, audi, etc

Best Reason Not to Buy the Subaru Outback: Fuel economy
AWD definately cost you a few on gas mileage so FWD vehicles worth more of a look if you live in warm climate or only rarely off pavement

Other Reasons to Buy the Subaru Outback: Handling, Powertrain performance, Cargo capacity & towing, Reliability & durability

Best Reason to Buy the Subaru Outback: Powertrain performance
We needed all-wheel drive & it has a proven track record in this area. So far, it has met our expectations (with the exception of low clearance) in this regard.

Other Reasons to Buy the Subaru Outback: Brand reputation & image, Exterior styling
