Scion tC in Hawaii, United States
Month Year Odometer
(in miles)
Cost Problem/Repair Description
Feb 2011 0 Moon roof makes clicking noise every 5 seconds. Louder than wind noise and stereo. Tech kept the car for 2 days but nothing was done. Two weeks later, took the car there and showed the noise to tech. Next appointment is end of April.
Apr 2011 0 Took it in for the same moon roof noise. Left the car for 2 days and nothing was done again. The noise is there everyday to & from work but they just say the noise isn't there. The moon roof started to rattle too recently.
May 2011 0 I found a broken part on the moon roof rail of the passenger side. They replaced the whole rail because the broken part is a part of the rail. The noise is gone, but it sucks that "I" had to find the problem rather than them to get it fixed
Sep 2011 0 Noise was still there. Brought the car in. Prove the existence of the noise to the service manager. Dealer kept the car over a month trying to fix it. They were not able to fix it and gave up on fixing it. Dealer won't do anything more.
Nov 2011 0 In case anyone is interested, I uploaded the video of the roof noise on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mQGLz1RLuE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVo7Uq3Zxtw
Mar 2012 0 The dealer was not able to fix the problem. They bought the car back.
