Very Responsive ,yet gets great gas mileage (30 on the highway). As other reviewers have said Excellent seats. Huge Trunk! Great Headlights! Very nice quality inside and out! Great fit and finish! A member from Ontario, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Saab 9-5: Driving position & visibility Too many cars nowadays have visibility like squatting in a rain barrel. The Saab 9-5 doesn't. I'm rather short, and yet I can still keep the seat in its lowest position and still have a great view out. Seats are amazing too. Best Reason Not to Buy the Saab 9-5: Quietness It's loud. And not always the good kind of loud either. I rather enjoy a bit of engine noise, but it gets excessive and transmission whine is a problem too. The exterior is nothing like a Buick Lacrosse and looks nothing like anything else in its price range. Best Reason Not to Buy the Saab 9-5: Insurance & depreciation With Saab going bankrupt the 9-5 may not have high resale value. Insurance on the other hand has not been a problem and am not paying much more than any other vehicle. A member from Alberta, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Saab 9-5: Driving position & visibility Tall or midget, fat or slim - will find an excellent driving position. Everything is within easy reach. Excellent heated outside mirrors, small(-ish) blind spots. Best Reason Not to Buy the Saab 9-5: Ride smoothness While basic Arc suspension setup is excellent, Aero was made overly harsh and bumpy, to the point where it affect it stablility on grooved tracks. Soft tires are a must.
