An asterisk (*) marks results based on small sample sizes.
General NotesModels and statistics marked with an asterisk (*) have very low sample sizes. These results, visible only to logged-in members, provide only a rough estimate of car reliability.Any result under 20 repair trips per 100 cars is likely a result of the small sample size, and should be expected to increase to 20 or so in future updates.
New models often start out with high repair rates, and then improve as the manufacturer identifies and addresses common problems. MethodologyOnly successfully completed repairs are currently included in the analysis. Routine maintenance, most wear items, recalls, and problems fixed with just a reflash or warning light reset are not included.

From the surveys I have seen, the Solara (Camry) has an edge in reliability over the G6. In addition, on test drive, the retractable hardtop stalled the first time we attempted to close it. We had to open it again and retry closing it. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 169-horsepower 2.4L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Have had it in the shop 4 times. New Rag n pinion, control arm bushings, power lock and passenger window control, Power steering, Now the Drive shaft! All before 35,000 miles |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 3.5L V6 4-speed shiftable automatic FWD |
Airbag sensor failed, had to be replaced twice. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 3.5L V6 4-speed shiftable automatic FWD |
The OE tires are starting to get loud with very low mileage on them. As mentioned above, the rattling noise from the loose screws makes for a very long drive. It took five visits before GM corrected the problems. |
