Liked styling and space, litany of discovered cons A member from Vermont, United States Best Reason to Buy the Nissan Versa: Cargo capacity & towing Very spacious interior. I wanted a hatchback and something where the rear seats folded down, since I do a lot of moving and hauling. I liked the roominess and open-feel. Other similar cars felt more confined. I can really pack a whole lot into that little car! And I got a roof rack installed to be able to load even more on top. Best Reason Not to Buy the Nissan Versa: Driving position & visibility Blind spots are a MAJOR problem. Always must use great caution when on the highway. I figure it is only a matter of time before this issue causes me to get into an accident, but since the Versa supposedly has such great safety features I should be perfectly fine and then I can feel free to get a new car. My wife and I both like it because it is a small car but feels roomy inside. The seats are wide and have a nice comfortable feel to them. The back seat fits two adults with comfort also. Why I bought this car. A member from New Brunswick, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Nissan Versa: Cargo capacity & towing I bought this car 3 years ago to tow behind my motorhome. It is excellent for that purpose and I would buy another Versa without hesitation. Best Reason Not to Buy the Nissan Versa: Powertrain performance The only true con I can offer is the small engine and lower performance. However that was reflected in the price and I knew when I bought it that power was going to be less that a lot of other cars. Smooth with just enough feel that I know what's going on with the road beneath me. Best Reason Not to Buy the Nissan Versa: Front seat support & comfort The seats on this were really not nice. Cheap is the word. Poor shaping, no lumbar support. They have really improved this in the new 2012 sedan, at least. It only took them 5 years. The MSRP for mine was 13,100 + T.T.T. + 95 for floor mats + 750 for the road hazard contract (nitrogen in tires) + 750 for destination and handling.
