This Murano LE AWD has never failed me in 6 months of operation in variable extreme frigid conditions. I have only had to change the oil, put air in the tires, and gas it up. I wonder what another winter or two of another 20,000 miles will do long term!

Reliability and Durability of the Nissan Murano: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT FWD
Nissan has less-than-stellar reliability ratings from Consumer Reports.
2007 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT FWD
Some concern over reliability of CVT from reading online horror stories of prior year models. So far no issues and Nissan has extended the CVT warranty. Minor issue is the sometimes squeal of brakes on backing.
2007 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT FWD
See CVT: how much is *that* going to be to fix?
2006 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT AWD
Seems to be a lot of issues amongs Murano owners with the CVT, if out of warranty, will cost over $7000 for replacement. Issues with driver seat frame breaking as well.
2005 4dr SUV 245-horsepower 3.5L V6
CVT AWD
Having issued with the CVT. I am very concerned with the reliability of the NEW style trans. This is the main reason why I have became a member, to find out more info on this.
