He noticed it right away. They had the car for a week, but could not locate its origin. Failed bypass valve in the turbo plumbing. Second failed stock Mazda valve in 50k miles. Was told that Mazda would only cover a portion of the replacement cost, so I told them to forget it and bought a Forge bypass valve as a replacement. Diagnosed/fixed rear window creaking/popping problem in the Speed6. Detached fixing hardware from rear edge of headliner and used taped vise-grips to bend the rear window guide tabs downward toward the front of vehicle to mitigate creaking. |
