2014 Mazda 6 A member from California, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Exterior styling Awesome looking car. Wanted a car that stood apart from the usual suspects, a sedan without "family" attached to the front. Huge improvement over the previous model style. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Price or payments Extras added up quickly, but you get what you pay for. No special MSRP discounts from Mazda, as the car has only been out for a short time this year. Toyota and Honda were offering better discounts. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Brand reputation & image, Fuel economy Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Audio & nav systems This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

Mazdaspeed 6 Review A member from Texas, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Exterior styling Conservatively styled- no boy-racer spoilers or wings. Car is now 6+ years old and styling still looks fresh. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Front seat support & comfort For short trips the Speed6 is fine. Longer than 2 hours in the car kills my back. Maybe the seats are cheaper in the Sport vs. the GT. Fortunately I've only taken 1 or 2 very long trips in it. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Handling, Fuel economy, Reliability & durability Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Interior styling This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from Manitoba, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Handling Suspension/running gear does produce somewhat of a sporty feeling for those who like it, zoom zoom.... Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Powertrain performance torquey long stroke engine with little power reserves at higher rpm does not correspond well with stick shift and the zoom zoom feeling sportiness, more of a cruiser for a family van/crossover with A/T, if you want to have some fun try the V6 Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Fuel economy, Ride smoothness, Audio & nav systems, Reliability & durability This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

Mazda 6 - Capable, Comfortable, Affordable A member from British Columbia, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Handling Short of buying a sports car, Mazda consistently has the best handling across their product line.

The handling in this car may have saved my life last summer. It helped me avoid being crushed between two semis on a difficult stretch of highway in a torrential downpour. I've never been so happy with my choice in car as I was at that moment. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Fuel economy The only minor complaints I have about this car comes from the engine. It puts out slightly less horsepower than racing engines of the same size, but eats just as much gas, roughly 15% more than I expected from an engine this size.

This is something Mazda has drastically improved in recent years, but remains something to watch out for in their larger engines before 2010. The best car nobody knows about A member from Massachusetts, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Exterior styling Beauty is entirely subjective, but I think the Mazda 6 is a beautiful car. Particularly considering it's a mainstream family sedan, the flowing lines, the arc of the greenhouse and man, those front fenders. It works for me. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Powertrain performance I got the 6 speed manual transmission paired with the 2.5 4-cylinder. Mazda has geared the transmission with very close ratios, to the point that even the overdrive 6th gear leaves the engine spinning at close to 3,000 rpm at 70mph. It is geared like a sports car. I list this as a "con", although I personally love the set up. I just want potential purchasers to know that they'll be shifting a lot (which is a pleasure with the transmission) and that fuel economy suffers a little due to the sporting orientation of the powertrain. Thankfully, the engine is smooth and revvy paired with the best manual transmission I've ever driven. So, maybe not exactly a "con", but something to point out. Surprising and often overlooked A member from Maryland, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Feature availability Absolute drivers car. The V-6 is powerful, the suspension and frame support the car with a stiffness that is just about the best, in any car that I have driven in this four door sedan class. Comfortable enough to fit three people over six foot AND their luggage - with room left over. This car is very understated and overlooked. If you don't like driving or think a car is no more than an over sized shoe box with seats - look elsewhere. Everything from the turn signals to the headlights are fully adjustable on the Mazda 6. The whole setup is logically arrayed so the driver has everything at their fingertips. Your eyes and hands never leave the road or steering wheel. No groping for controls. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Quietness Car is NOT fall asleep quiet. It drives and acts more like a sports car than fast living room couch. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Powertrain performance, Driving position & visibility, Rear seat room & comfort, Handling Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Exterior styling, Feature availability, Materials & workmanship This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from New Jersey, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Ride smoothness The new 6 has 17" wheels and tires and no sport suspention that the 2008 Grand Sport used to annoy me with Harsh ride Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Materials & workmanship Some of the plastics are cheap hard plastic. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Past personal experience, Discounts & incentives Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Controls and instruments, Audio & nav systems, Driving position & visibility, Insurance & depreciation This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from Illinois, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Powertrain performance Once the engine is revved to 3000 rpm or more, the power delivery is impressive, smooth and without torque steer. The AWD system, while not as sophisticated as an EVO or STI, is still capable of delivering surprising grip and performance. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Fuel economy Not necessarily a dislike, just a natural trade off for having 270 horsepower on tap. Averaging 22mpg with mostly city and traffic driving. It actually still bests my old 00 VW Golf turbo, which typically mustered only 20mpg with half the horsepower! Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Handling, Safety & braking, Price or payments, Materials & workmanship Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Quietness, Ride smoothness This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from Oklahoma, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Safety & braking Strong brakes with anti-lock brake system and dynamic stability control. Firm pedal feel. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Driving position & visibility The rear trunk lid is high, and the C pillars are wide, so visibility out the rear and rear quarters not great. My old (98) Camry has better visibility out the back. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda6: Handling, Fuel economy, Price or payments, Dealership practices This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |
