| Price of the Mazda Mazda5: Pros | ||
| Year | Body/Powertrain | Comment |
| 2010 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD | Cheap. Very good value. |
| 2010 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD | 0% 72 MONTHS HERE IN CANADA |
| 2009 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD | The price was/is reasonable. Far lower than the much bigger, much less fun to drive Toyota Sienna or Honda Oddessy. Plus, I got $2,000 cash back direct from Mazda at the end of April, 2009. |
| 2009 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD | Can get a full load of options for around the same cost as the base of models with comparable size and quality. |
| 2008 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD | Within my budget - the same or much cheaper than other cars with seating for 6 or 7 people. |
| 2008 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD | Low sticker, good base features and high resale makes this a cheap ride. |
| 2006 | 4dr Minivan 157-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD | Hard package to beat for 20k well-equipped |
| 2006 | 4dr Minivan 157-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD | Despite extra cargo room and versatility, price is close to that of the smaller Mazda 3. Even the base model is very well optioned. |
| 2006 | 4dr Minivan 157-horsepower 2.3L I4 4-speed shiftable automatic FWD | Excellent value for money - 18k for 6 seater car with climate control, sunroof, auto. |
| 2006 | 4dr Minivan 157-horsepower 2.3L I4 4-speed shiftable automatic FWD | Competitive pricing compared to the similarly sized KIA and perhaps the Matrix/Vibe. |
| Price of the Mazda Mazda5: Cons | ||
| Year | Body/Powertrain | Comment |
| 2008 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD | Not a bad value, but the Chevy HHR was $2000 less and had 15,000 fewer miles. |

| 2008 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD |
Materials did not seem that durable in the used 2008 that we looked at....plastic surfaces were scratched and worn after 40,000 miles. |
| 2007 | 4dr Minivan 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
The build quality is not the best inside, there are a lot of plastic inside |
| 2006 | 4dr Minivan 157-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Cheap looking and cheap feeling interior materials, particularly the silver-painted trim bits. Centre console is loose and plastics are easily scratched. |

fit of front bumper, dash, trim moulding. materials feel cheap |
| 2009 | 4dr SUV 262-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed automatic AWD |
The one and only complaint with the Flex was with the dash and door panel material. The top of the dash looked like a cheap grade of plastic and there were too many textures side by side on the door panels. Other than that it seemed to be very well made. |
