A member from Massachusetts, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Handling Unprecedented car-like handling (steering feel, response, body roll, grip) for a tall wagon-esque people mover Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Rear seat room & comfort, Cargo capacity & towing, Feature availability, Price or payments This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from Alberta, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Exterior styling Neat package - smooth lines, accessibility of sliding doors without the full size profile of a minivan Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Reliability & durability OEM tires wore out < 35,000 miles, transmission fluid needed flushed at 40,000 miles Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Handling, Driving position & visibility Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Rear seat room & comfort, Cargo capacity & towing This member used to own or lease the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from Idaho, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Rear seat room & comfort The rear doors are the sliding type, which is the most practical (and brilliant) type of rear doors for children. I also like the fact that the middle seats recline and slide, they have storage under the cushions, and a third row of usable seating! A member from Ontario, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Cargo capacity & towing With all rear seats folded flat, the 5 can fit two adult bikes + one kid bike, or a surprising amount of furniture. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Materials & workmanship Cheap looking and cheap feeling interior materials, particularly the silver-painted trim bits. Centre console is loose and plastics are easily scratched. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Exterior styling, Reliability & durability, Price or payments, Fuel economy Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Quietness, Ride smoothness This member used to own or lease the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from British Columbia, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Exterior styling I think this is a very attractive car in GT trim Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Fuel economy vehicle is heavy for its size so the fuel economy is not that great. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Cargo capacity & towing, Handling, Rear seat room & comfort Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Powertrain performance, Quietness This member used to own or lease the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from British Columbia, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Handling Tracks well in twists and turns. Feels stable and tight in turns. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Fuel economy My 4 speed automatic yields about 10.5 L/100 km on 50/50 highway and city driving with a conscious effort to stick to the speed limit and driving as if I had an egg under my right foot. Eh, I thought it would AT LEAST be under 10. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Exterior styling, Driving position & visibility, Price or payments, Rear seat room & comfort Other Reasons Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Ride smoothness This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from North Carolina, United States Best Reason to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Fuel economy Better than any other 6 seat vehicle or minivan (at least on paper), and the only one available with a manual transmission. Best Reason Not to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Dealership practices Mazda dealers must be the worst in the industry. I have had my 5 in for 3 warranty repairs, and gotten jerked around every time. I may never buy another Mazda product because of the sub standard dealership network. Other Reasons to Buy the Mazda Mazda5: Rear seat room & comfort, Handling, Safety & braking, Reliability & durability This member used to own or lease the reviewed vehicle. read full review |
