Love the car but it can't go woot constant repairs. 2 timing chain repairs fuel pressure pump, carbon buildup, clutch replacement, nav DVD drive. I got the stock suspension so I could mod it later with parts of my choosing, but even stock the Cooper is very good for a modern production car. A 19mm rear anti-sway bar made it handle better than I could have imagined. Car is balanced with extreme handling, braking and power. Best Reason Not to Buy the MINI Cooper: Feature availability More features should be standard. They nickel and dime you on the options excessively, and the design is not aftermarket friendly if you want to take a different route. A/C in particular was hard to use with weird rolling action to change temperature/fan speed. Also, window controls, door locks not on door. Radio controls not intuitive.
