Always want more MPG but it is at least 25% better than my 2006 Ford Explorer. After 15K miles of highway, city and occasionally pulling a 5'x10' trailer, I'm averaging exactly 20.9 MPG. |
| 2011 | 4dr SUV 175-horsepower 2.4L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD |
30% better than my previous vehicle |
| 2011 | 4dr SUV 175-horsepower 2.4L I4 6-speed manual FWD |
For a rather large crossover the fuel economy is absolutely amazing, check it out, it speaks for itself, and in the frist month we are getting exactly the rated efficiency, very pleased. |
| 2011 | 4dr SUV 175-horsepower 2.4L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD |
I average 22 mpg in mosty city driving. Not bad for its size and weight. |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 262-horsepower 3.8L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range |
For a bulky and powerful SUV, it achieves a greater gas mileage than expected. |

About 20 to 25% less than EPA estimates |

my commute is very short and I am averaging 16mpg despite the 'eco'light being on, which sucks |

The window sticker said it would get 29 mpg on the highway. I did a 500 mile trip and averaged 25 mpg. On my last 5 vehicles I averaged 2 to 3 mpg more than the window sticker when on the highway. Something is wrong with this picture. |
| 2008 | 4dr SUV turbocharged 168hp 2.5L I4 Diesel 5-speed shiftable automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range |
Not been brave enough to calculate fuel economy yet, but my Audi A6 1.9tdi used to return 33mpg whilst towing. I doubt the Sorento will get near that even solo! |
| 2005 | 4dr SUV 192-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range |
Not great but we knew that going in. I try to drive as economically as possible and can usually squeeze 18-19 mpg in mixed driving (70%/30% split between highway and local). |
| 2005 | 4dr SUV 192-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range |
Getting 14-15 MPG out of a V6. Wish it were closer to 20 MPG. |
| 2005 | 4dr SUV 192-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed automatic RWD |
Put simply "It sucks" |
| 2003 | 4dr SUV 192-horsepower 3.5L V6 4-speed automatic AWD w/low range |
15MPG - not good |
