| 2010 | 4dr Sedan 328-horsepower 3.7L V6 7-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
To be honest, it is exactly what I expected, so no real beefs with it. That said, if you are looking for a car that gets better than 19 or so combined, this is not it. Decent freeway miles (24-27/g) but in city it is hard to beat 16/g. |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 328-horsepower 3.7L V6 7-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
With such a large displaced engine and so much power you will find that you will have so-so mpg if you drive mainly in the city like I do. Especially if you are a "spirited" driver like I tend to be. I am averaging about 14-16mpg 95% city. On the highway its a different story. I have averaged up to 28mpg @ 78mph, I kind of wish I drove more on the highway. |
| 2009 | 2dr Coupe 330-horsepower 3.7L V6 7-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
average 18 in town 24 highway. |
| 2009 | 2dr Coupe 330-horsepower 3.7L V6 7-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
You do not buy a performance car and expect to get good gas mileage. At a 5 mpg or greater difference from my last car, it is taking some getting used too. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
5th gear is short and really infringes on getting decent mileage (15-17 in mixed and 22-23 hwy). Accurate EPA figures but the new 7 speed AT for 2009 really helps. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
With all that power available its hard not to use it. Expect in city driving to deliver less than 20mpg. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
burns too much fuel, I would like another 6 mpg even if power were cut |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Not too great. My average is 19 - 20 mpg, mostly city. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Takes a lot of fuel... 14L/100km about. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed manual RWD |
While not terrible, ~20mpg is by no means phenomenal. Relatively comparable cars get ~23-27mpg, but typically also have smaller engines which explains a good portion of the difference. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Can live with it because of the performance, but wish the mileage was better and premium fuel was not required. |
| 2008 | 2dr Coupe 330-horsepower 3.7L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
With both highway and city driving, I would only average 19 mpg with moderate gas pedal use vs 24 mpg in the c300, which is AWD. One month of strictly city driving with heavy gas pedal use I average only 13mpg... Yikes! |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
The car is just not about fuel economy. You pay for performance. I get ~18 in suburb style driving and ~23 on highway but that maybe just me. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Drinks way too much! |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
I do a lot of short trips - MPG are around 16-17. Could be better but I knew this going in. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Too low. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Fuel economy leaves much to be desired, but with proper management of acceleration, can be somewhat decent. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 306-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
To high! |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
All wheel drive saps about 10% of fuel economy |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
An average of 20 mpg (mixed city driving) could be much better, especially with high gas prices |
| 2006 | 2dr Coupe 298-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed manual RWD |
gas mileage seems to average about 24 highway and 14 city |
| 2006 | 2dr Coupe 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
The fuel economy is somewhat disappointing. I averaged generally about 16mpg per tank when I lived and worked in a large city. Now that I live and commute to school out in the sticks, I amgetting around 23mpg with the cruise control locked at 55-60. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
avg 19.5 mpg. Yeah I could do better if I never got on the gas, but then what would be the point of owning a G? |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 298-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed manual RWD |
Ive gotten as low as 13mpg, but I drive the car hard and I mean hard. |
| 2005 | 4dr Sedan 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
I only got 18 mpg while driving in mixed driving. The TL gets 22 day in and day out. |
| 2005 | 2dr Coupe 298-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed manual RWD |
only getting 17mpg |
| 2005 | 4dr Sedan 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Terrible fuel economy. 75 liters gives me 480 to a tank. |
| 2005 | 2dr Coupe 298-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed manual RWD |
Isnt nice at the pump. Requires premium fuel. Price you pay for a sports car. |
| 2004 | 2dr Coupe 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
At the very best, my combined fuel economy never got above 20.4 MPG and is recenly under 19. |
| 2004 | 4dr Sedan 260-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Currently get 25-27 highway and 21=22.5 in the city. Live in extremely mountainous terrain, so mpg would be higher in a flat area such as Nebraska or Kansas. I would have added a 6th gear and kept the power. |
| 2004 | 4dr Sedan 260-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
16-17 city/24-25 highway |
| 2004 | 4dr Sedan 260-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed manual RWD |
The G35 takes premium gas and from my research it looked like it would average about 10 mpg less than the Solara. |
| 2004 | 4dr Sedan 260-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
got between 14 and 17 mpg in the city |
| 2003 | 2dr Coupe 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed manual RWD |
Horrible fuel milage. Seems like they under-rated the horsepower and over rated the fuel economy. |
| 2003 | 2dr Coupe 280-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Freeway or city driving, AC or no AC, always average out to be around 20-21. No more no less. |
| 2003 | 4dr Sedan 260-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Highway fuel economy should be better, maybe higher fifth gear for lower revs at highway speeds. |
| 2003 | 4dr Sedan 260-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Very poor city mpg, almost as bad as large SUV. |
| 2003 | 4dr Sedan 260-horsepower 3.5L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
City fuel economy is terrible. (15L/100km) Highway fuel economy is not as good either. (8L/100km @ 105km/hr) if going any faster, the fuel economy get worse! |
