The 2008 Infiniti EXs in this analysis were driven mostly on the highway at an average speed of 70 miles per hour (about 48 percent of the miles driven). The rest of the miles were in the city (24 percent), in the suburbs (19 percent), and in heavy traffic (9 percent).

In addition the average 2008 Infiniti EX in this analysis was driven on flat terrain with a light foot and the AC on only some of the time.

17MPG in the city is a little disappointing for a vehicle with such finesse and reputation. I would guess Infiniti would cater to the masses with styling, performance and a little more economy. Not asking for miracles but I'm sure they could squeeze out 3 or 4 more MPG with the same 3.5L V6
