A member from Florida, United States Best Reason to Buy the Hyundai Genesis Coupe: Discounts & incentives 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 MT Track. I wanted a 2-door RWD car w/ power. The logical choices were a Mustang, a Infiniti G37, or a Beamer. Cost excluded the Beamer and the G37, and the old, tired retro look of the Mustang just accentuated how good looking the '13 was. Performance criteria between the V6-manual Mustang and GC was pretty much a wash, so Decision: Genesis even if it was more money. The Warranty is among the best with 10yrs/100k on the drivetrain. That was hard to overlook. Best Reason Not to Buy the Hyundai Genesis Coupe: Powertrain performance The clutch is heavy and imprecise. I'm not into mods but I would consider an early change out to a lightweight FW and performance clutch. A CAI would probably smooth out an already smooth engine. A member from California, United States Best Reason to Buy the Hyundai Genesis Coupe: Interior styling To be a Coupe, this car has a lot of interior space, plus the stereo, auto HVAC system, heated seats, ipod/mp3 & accessory outlets, and all the other amenities are amazing for the price. Best Reason Not to Buy the Hyundai Genesis Coupe: Ride smoothness Shouldn't even list this as a dislike because I knew the ride was not going to be that of a Genesis Sedan; its a sports car! But I am going to get what are called coilovers to improve the ride while still maintaining the handling characteristics. This car just "fits" my body perfectly. Being able to see in my blindspot is another major factor. The Genesis Coupe has no problems in this department. From time to time, I got people looking at my car while driving, at the parking lots & gas stations. Even strangers came to me to compliment my Genesis Coupe. Best Reason Not to Buy the Hyundai Genesis Coupe: Fuel economy Fuel Economy is my ONLY dislike of the Genesis Coupe. I was excepting less gas consumption especially in city driving. Best Reason Not to Buy the Hyundai Genesis Coupe: Rear seat room & comfort It is small and crampy. A 6 ft person will not enjoy the backseat. It is good for kids and pre teens. However the boot (trunk) is quite small compared to a honda civi.
