The index is next to useless, does not include the installed radio, does not explain the ESC system, and doesn't mention the bluetooth system in the car. They need to re-write it if they produce the Touring again. Fun and function A member from Indiana, United States Best Reason to Buy the Hyundai Elantra Touring: Materials & workmanship For the price, the materials used in the interior are very good. After two years, no wear is visible. There are no rattles or vibration. Best Reason Not to Buy the Hyundai Elantra Touring: Powertrain performance The engine could use a little more pep. 138 HP and five speeds on the manual transmission are ok, but 160 HP and six speeds would be better. The four-speed automatic transmission makes the car a lot less fun. You are not going to see the 40 mpg numbers like the standard elantra. I drive in the city and get 25-30mpg on average. Typical highway mileage is pretty good though - I got between 35-37 mpg. Best Reason Not to Buy the Hyundai Elantra Touring: Quietness The Touring isn\'t the quietest car once you hit highway speeds. There is a fair bit of road noise and the engine drones a bit. Its not unbearable though and if this is the only complaint I have thats pretty good.
