I have a CD stuck inside it, with no way of taking it out. As per the dealer the entire audio console would need to be taken out sent for repairs, which are very expensive. A member from Texas, United States Best Reason to Buy the Honda Civic: Controls and instruments Driver-centric controls are easy to use and intuitive. No small buttons that require you to remove your eyes from the road. High-mounted digital speedometer is particularly useful and appreciated. Best Reason Not to Buy the Honda Civic: Materials & workmanship Small items throughout the interior have fallen apart. Rear luggage hooks, handbrake cover, auxiliary input jack, and sun-visors have all failed or are in-process. Center brake-light has also failed. Paint is thin, chips easily, and has degraded quickly. 4.5 years in to ownership the atomic blue paint is in far worse condition than our 11 year old Ford Explorer. Good dependable economy car. A member from Oregon, United States Best Reason to Buy the Honda Civic: Exterior styling Except for the tail lights, which curve into the trunk lid top,I like the simple conservative styling of the 2003 Civic. It's hard to find a car these days with styling like this. Most brand new cars are ugly. Best Reason Not to Buy the Honda Civic: Front seat support & comfort Front seat comfort is fair. There's good side support. But the lumbar support is too high for someone short like me. I've added a but cushon so the bulge hits the right part of my back. It also helps me sit higher for better visibility, and adds comfort for long trips. A member from Alberta, Canada Best Reason to Buy the Honda Civic: Fuel economy I consistently get between 7 and 7.5L per 100 km which is about 32.5 MPG(US). I also own a Toyota Tundra, so the savings on fuel almost pay for the civic itself. Best Reason Not to Buy the Honda Civic: Quietness Its very loud. For such a smooth comfortable car, the volume of noice the car makes (seems like a good portion is from the tires, is almost unbearable at times.
