Mixed city, and short (5-6 miles on freeway) commute averaging 23-24 mpg. Long road trip including some hills ~30-31 mpg. Does appear to get even higher (32 mpg?) on flat freeways around 60-70 mph.
2012 4dr SUV 185-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed automatic AWD
Had two months and drove 2950 miles. We averaged 29.9 mpg with about 70% being highway miles. Local miles are about 27mpg with between 30-34 on the highways at 70mph. These are actual miles via filling up although the onboard computer is very close
2011 4dr SUV 180-horsepower 2.4L I4

21 city/28 hghwy not bad for AWD
2009 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4

Solid for a small SUV
2008 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
We have gotten as high as 35 mpg on the highway under optimal conditions. It does not do as well in town, usually running around 18, but we drive the Prius in town and use the CR-V for road trips.

2007 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4

On the open road I get 31 mpg and overall 27 mpg. That is very good for a vehicle that size.
2007 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4

I was looking for a compact SUV with good gas mileage and the CR-V is among the top in fuel economy.

Unbeatable!
2006 4dr SUV 156-horsepower 2.4L I4

Honda CR-V Fuel Economy: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 4dr SUV 180-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed automatic AWD
I guess I wish I was getting at least 30 mpg with fuel prices so high and future prices will be even higher.
2009 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed automatic AWD
just bad. on the drive Ottawa-Montreal, never got better than 14 l/100 km, during fall months (no aircon). i know that winter make it eat up to 20 l/100 km (my mom drives crv).
2009 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed automatic AWD
mediocre fuel economy for what is basically an AWD car.
2006 4dr SUV 156-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed automatic AWD
It only gets about 1 or 2 MPG less than a Pilot, which disappointed me. I would have went with a Pilot had I known the mileage would be SO close.
2003 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Worse economy than I expected and a smaller fuel tank too.
2002 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
23 mpg has been the best to date. That is tolerable when gas is less than $2.50, it will not feel so good when it goes above $3
2002 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed manual AWD
I have gotten up to 32 MPG and usually get around 26 to 28. Nice.
2002 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
for a 4 cylinder poor miliage per gallon.
