A member from Maryland, United States Best Reason to Buy the Ford Ranger: Reliability & durability The 3.0L engine is not a powerhouse, but is proven design and is durable. Best Reason Not to Buy the Ford Ranger: Powertrain performance I wish Ford had offered the DOHC 3.0L Duratec engine (200HP) in the Ranger instead of the 4.0 SOHC engine. The 3.0L Vulcan engine really needs about 50 more HP. Other Reasons to Buy the Ford Ranger: Driving position & visibility, Exterior styling, Cargo capacity & towing, Price or payments Other Reasons Not to Buy the Ford Ranger: Ride smoothness, Warranty, scheduled maintenance cost, Rear seat room & comfort This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |

A member from Pennsylvania, United States Best Reason to Buy the Ford Ranger: Past personal experience 3rd Ranger I have own and never have had a major problem. First Ranger I ended up selling after it rolled over the 300,000 mile mark. Best Reason Not to Buy the Ford Ranger: Ride smoothness Being a short wheelbase truck with torsion bars tends to leave the ride smoothness often a little rough. Other Reasons to Buy the Ford Ranger: Powertrain performance, Exterior styling, Reliability & durability Other Reasons Not to Buy the Ford Ranger: Feature availability This member owns or leases the reviewed vehicle. read full review |
