What Our Members Are Saying about the Price of the Ford Focus
| Price of the Ford Focus: Pros | ||
| Year | Body/Powertrain | Comment |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
The Focus is one of the cheapest new cars. There are others that are cheaper, but they basically come stripped of options like AC and radios. |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
It gave me the payment i needed while still providing most of the things i need in a small sedan. |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Bought used 19k miles, good condition, $9,500 |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
$16,700 is quite a bit of money for a two-liter four sedan, but the Focus has build quality and content that justify it pretty well. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Cheaper, with better standard features, than any competitors (Yaris, Honda Fit, Hyundai Accent). |
| 2008 | 2dr Coupe 140-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
It was an affordable car even when loaded with lots of options! |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
For what it is, it is not overpriced. The payments do not stress out my budget. |
| 2008 | 2dr Coupe 140-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Price was so low it was almost a concern. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Got it really cheap at a year end clearance sale. |
| 2006 | 2dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
I git a brand new, Top trim level, loaded car with Power everything, 6 disc CD/Mp3, ABS, Traction control, handling package for under $13,000. |
| 2006 | 2dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
The Focus is a lot of car for the money compared to smaller cars that sell for similar prices. Incentives allow a sale price far below sticker. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Bought it new in March 25 2006.With dealer incentive paid $13,480.5/100,000 drive train warranty and 5/75 extended warranty |
| 2005 | 4dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
$16,000 bought me a car with a ton of features (for the price), a $100,000 mile warranty, and decent gas milage. |
| 2005 | 4dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
The Focus is one of the cheapest cars in its class. |
| 2005 | 4dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Cheap, reliable, easy in town. |
| 2005 | 2dr Hatch 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
The car is very affordable. I bought my focus new at a very good price, and my payments are pretty low. |
| 2005 | 4dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
It was 2000 dollars less than the yaris, which had three times the miles... |
| 2004 | 2dr Hatch 145-horsepower 2.3L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Not only is the sticker price on a used or new Focus low, the parts are low too. Dramatically lower than Euro or Japanese cars. For example, a Focus 30K service is around $200-$250. A Subaru 30K service is $400-$500. |
| 2004 | 2dr Hatch 130-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
It was an inexpensive car to purchase. |
| 2003 | 4dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD |
I paid $13,400 for a car that listed for $18,995. Used Protege5s were selling for more at the time. No other car with leather, sunroof, ABS, and such could be bought for a similar price. |
| 2003 | 4dr Wagon 145-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
This was the most inexpensive wagon available at the time. Lots of value for the money. |
| 2002 | 2dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD |
Good value for money. Inexpensive and usually reliable. |
| 2002 | 2dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD |
Under $300.00 a month |

| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 136-horsepower 2.0L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
What can I say, it's a cheap car. At the time I purchased in 2009, the car was almost three years old and still had a sale price of $13000. It's currently only worth less than half of what was paid four years later. I purchased this car because of need and very limited time to make a choice. I knew I didn't want another Nissan because of their weak engines. My sister had just bought the 08 Focus SE model a few months before and was happy with hers, so I thought this might be an okay choice. Read on. |
| 2003 | 4dr Hatch 170-horsepower 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD |
The Focus SVT would have cost me about $5,000 more than the Mazda Protege5. |
What Our Members Are Saying about the Price of the Toyota Corolla

| 2010 | 4dr Sedan 132-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
The payment on the car is less than 300 a month for a nicely equipped car. |
| 2010 | 4dr Sedan 132-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
The Corolla provides a lot of "bang for the buck" in my mind. It has all the things I need in a car, all the things I wanted in a car, and even a few minor fun "bells and whistles" for good measure - all at a price I can afford easily. |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 132-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Decided to go with Corolla because it was several thousand cheaper over civic for similar features. |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 132-horsepower 1.8L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
I felt this car was reasonable price for its class. |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 126-horsepower 1.8L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Low interest rate on lease payments. Reasonably priced car while well equipped. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 126-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
I only took the automatic transmission option and it was one of the cheapest. Interest rate was only at 1.7% for me. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 126-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
we got a pretty good price (before tax, tags and title fees) from a ford dealership. Bought in 2010, it was a used 2007 model. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 126-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Low payments and priced right, it seems that newer corollas can be had for what you would have paid for a new vehicle 2 or 3 years earlier. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 126-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Great pricing, easy financing |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 126-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Paid $14,500 |
| 2005 | 4dr Sedan 130-horsepower 1.8L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
It was what I felt I could afford at the time I had to replace my 1995 Saturn SL1. |
| 2005 | 4dr Sedan 130-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Purchased new, well-equipped for the market segment for 15k. Very competitive pricing relative to lesser known (by me) brands. |
| 2003 | 4dr Sedan 130-horsepower 1.8L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
A/C, power window, power door lock, ABS, side airbag, rear spoiler, alloy wheel, 6 speakers, remote keyless entry, and more for $16,000 brand new. |
| 2003 | 4dr Sedan 130-horsepower 1.8L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
low price |

| 2010 | 4dr Sedan 132-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
This may just be a little quirk with me/my location but I could not find it cheaper used anywhere in Texas. I guess on the other side though, it was one of the cheaper Pre-Owned Certified vehicles I was trying to find. Another one was a 2011 Honda Fit asking was 15k but had 40k miles for example. I bought this one for 13.7k (full bumper to bumper coverage for next 4 years) so you can't be too sure. |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 132-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Its expensive compared to Sentra, Elantra and Lancer, while providing the same or less features. Also mainteinance is expensive but is because the brand, not the car. |
| 2009 | 4dr Sedan 132-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
More expensive than a Focus (but more car, too, and better resale value for sure). |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 126-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
Not as much of a bargain for what you get and the payments were too high for a boring daily-driver. |
| 2005 | 4dr Sedan 130-horsepower 1.8L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
sort of upmarket cost for a dinky little eonobox with crappy handling. But I guess you pay for the fact that it will biodegrade before it will wear out. |
