| 2012 | 4dr SUV 171-horsepower 2.5L I4 6-speed automatic FWD |
Looking for something with good fuel mileage and a bit of hauling ability to replace full size truck. Easily doubled fuel mileage. |

| 2008 | 4dr SUV 133-horsepower 2.3L I4 Hybrid CVT FWD |
My Escape is a Hybrid, current MPG 34, I think that is fantastic. Car has consistently averaged 32+ MPG |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic FWD |
not too bad for a big 6 cyl engine |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 133-horsepower 2.3L I4 Hybrid CVT AWD |
Great in city, good on highway, runs in electrical mode occasionally which is fun. For a 4WD non aerodynamic mini-truck the economy is stellar. |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 133-horsepower 2.3L I4 Hybrid CVT AWD |
work truck, after 5000km getting 8L/100km in mostly 50-60-80km/hr driving...can get 7 if very gentle. |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 133-horsepower 2.3L I4 Hybrid CVT FWD |
Consistantly 30 mpg average fuel economy. Nice for an SUV. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 4-speed automatic AWD |
I get 28 MPG on the open HWY and 23-24 around town. Pretty good for an all wheel drive SUV. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 153-horsepower 2.3L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
The 2.3L had enough performance and got better mileage than the V6. At 65mph on cruise control, it can get 29 to 30mpg fully loaded with 4 people & luggage. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 133-horsepower 2.3L I4 Hybrid CVT AWD |
This is a hybrid, comparative to other SUVs, this has the highest fuel economy on the market. Currently, I average 30+ mpg, and that is with AWD. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 133-horsepower 2.3L I4 Hybrid CVT AWD |
Since July 5th it has averaged 31.3mpg overall. Of course, it is an AWD hybrid. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 133-horsepower 2.3L I4 Hybrid CVT AWD |
I was looking for better mileage. I got 33+ no problem. The car taught me how to drive more efficiently. I am getting 34-35+ in the summer months now. My son has learned to drive the same way by starting with the Hybrid. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
V6 has combination of good power and fuel economy for an AWD SUV, overall fuel mileage has averaged 20.7 mpg over 60,000 miles with A/C or defroster on the majority of the time |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
Good mpg for a 4x4 V6 |
| 2005 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
25 mpg highway with AWD |
| 2005 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
it was at the top with the imports. |
| 2005 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
Between 24 and 25 mpg on the road is excellant for a performer like this! |
| 2003 | 4dr SUV 201-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
Pretty good considering SUV status (avg 20mpg) |
| 2002 | 4dr SUV 127-horsepower 2.0L I4 5-speed manual AWD |
For an SUV mileage great. After 7 years still get between 26 and 28 miles on highway. |

| 2012 | 4dr SUV 171-horsepower 2.5L I4 6-speed automatic FWD |
Fuel economy suffers thanks to the need to downshift for even smaller hills and the vehicle's brick-like aerodynamic profile. EPA ratings are 20/28, real-world is closer to 24. |
| 2008 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic FWD |
Surprised by how bad the fuel economy is so far (but have only had a month)... less than 15 mpg for my driving, mostly back and forth to work, 1.5 miles in a small town... but I can live with it because I really love this car. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic FWD |
Knew it was not going to be great with V6. After several fillups averages around 19.4 mile per gal. |
| 2006 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
16-18 MPG in town, old V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee was not much worse. Should get more mileage out of a six. |
| 2005 | 4dr SUV 200-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
Perhaps the 6 speed automatics are better, but the 4 speeds just suck! Not good at all, in my humble opinion, for a vehicle this size. |
| 2002 | 4dr SUV 201-horsepower 3.0L V6 4-speed automatic AWD |
I averaged about 14 city and 17.5 on trips, which for a vehicle this size is terrible. |
