The V6 gets good fuel economy. I have had the Edge for 13 months and have a overall average of 22 mpg. I am able to obtain the 27 mpg on the highway at 70 mph, more than that it does start to drop. Does not need premium gasoline. |
| 2008 | 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed automatic FWD |
Decent economy considering size of vehicle and weight. |

Better than a V8 Aviator |

Anticipated more MPG than an average of 23 |
| 2010 | 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed automatic FWD |
V6 economy only; nothing special. |
| 2008 | 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed automatic FWD |
Not good enough. |
| 2008 | 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed automatic AWD |
It is only average overall. A hybrid or better still a hydrogen fuel cell version would be better. |
| 2007 | 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed automatic AWD |
Can be low in stop and go traffic, does well on highways up to 70mph, drops off a bit quickly after that |
