Ford Edge Fuel Economy: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr SUV 285-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
The V6 gets good fuel economy. I have had the Edge for 13 months and have a overall average of 22 mpg. I am able to obtain the 27 mpg on the highway at 70 mph, more than that it does start to drop. Does not need premium gasoline.

V6 economy only; nothing special.
2008 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6

Not good enough.
2008 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic AWD
It is only average overall. A hybrid or better still a hydrogen fuel cell version would be better.
2007 4dr SUV 265-horsepower 3.5L V6

Can be low in stop and go traffic, does well on highways up to 70mph, drops off a bit quickly after that
