Reliability and Durability of the Dodge Avenger: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr Sedan 173-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
I purchased this car new in 2011. Since that time I have driven it 18,000 miles. Have not had to return to dealer for any problems what so ever. It has been the most reliable Dodge product I have ever owned.
2008 4dr Sedan 189-horsepower 2.7L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
Approaching 3 years without a single repair or other issue
2008 4dr Sedan 173-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Should be as good as a Honda!
Reliability and Durability of the Dodge Avenger: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr Sedan 173-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
The car has been reliable as a whole, but there have been a few minor nuisances. Some insulation came loose and kept brushing against the door making a squeaking sound and the front passenger window occasionally makes a rubbing noise while being opened.
