Best Reason Not to Buy the Chevrolet Avalanche: Fuel economy It only averages around 14 to 15 in a mostly city driving environment. Was hoping the V4 mode would kick in more often to help improve the economy. Controls are well placed and not confusing. Very comfortable for long drives. Best Reason Not to Buy the Chevrolet Avalanche: Fuel economy 14MPG in the city sucks.
