| 2010 | 4dr Sedan turbocharged 300hp 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
The turbo allows the ability to extract very excellent fuel economy if driven conservatively, and yet deliver exceptional power when needed (or just desired). |
| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 230-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
I drive 500+ highway miles weekly. I needed a comforable ride with good fuel economy. I am averaging 30 mpg on the highway at 70+ MPH in Florida |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 215-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed manual RWD |
Much higher than expected. |
| 2007 | 4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
21 mpg mixed city and highway, very good for car this size |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
I am seeing 22mpg in the city, not bad for 255hp |
| 2006 | 4dr Wagon 255-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
very good for large AWD car |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
At this moment the computer shows 27.6 mpg for combo city/freeway/around town driving. True, it uses premium but that is excellent for a car this size and performance.[mpg is without using A/C] |
| 2004 | 4dr Sedan 225-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed manual RWD |
Averaging 25mpg combined and 30mpg expressway...not too shabby for full-size luxury vehicle. |
| 2004 | 4dr Sedan 225-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
28 mpg highway - 20 mpg city. |
| 2003 | 4dr Sedan 225-horsepower 3.0L I6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Excellent fuel mileage on the highway. I can average 32MPG driving at 65 MPH. Problem is... tough to keep it at 65. 75-80 is like driving 55 in most other vehicles. |

Their quoted miles per gallon far lower than the Audi, although the car is likely fasgter. |

| 2003 | 4dr Sedan 225-horsepower 3.0L I6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
Seems to guzzle gas in stop-and-go regime, even if I watch the consumption report as I drive. |
| 2002 | 4dr Sedan 184-horsepower 2.5L I6 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD |
5 Series was terrific car but very poor on gas and used premium fuel. We knew about the mileage when purchased but this was one of the factors making us switch as we have 2 new drivers that would have kept this car driving more hours at a higher cost. |
| 2002 | 4dr Sedan 225-horsepower 3.0L I6 5-speed manual RWD |
requires premium gas. |
