Occurred 150 miles from home and dealer gouged me while remaining professional and pleasant. While on the lift for the alternator (and battery) replacement, mechanic noticed a torn CV boot (so they say). While on the lift getting problems 1 and 2 resolved, mechanic claims that cooling system was also leaking and needed $1,100 in non-descript repairs. I refused this having no prior symptoms. No coolant problem has emerged since (1,000 miles)!!
Jan	2009	89000	1200	Self-dimming LCD interior mirror failed and fluid drained out, rendering self-dimming feature inoperable. Shop replaced. Climate control blower motor had begun making noise but still operated. I suspected failing bearings ands eventual complete seizure so I had it replaced. Auxiliary electric coolant pump was found leaking during timing belt replacement and so was replaced. Also replaced all idler rollers , tensioner and main water pump during t-belt service, which is a regular maintenance item. An oil smell (faint) could be detected inside car and while at the shop for the other service, they found both valve covers leaking. Both gaskets were replaced. While in the shop for other service, mechanic also noticed that plastic coolant tank was leaking and replaced.

Garage replaced lower control arms/bushings and re-aligned front end.. Shortly after replacement of lower control arms, car manifest a speed dependent vibration. Brought back to same shop who claimed they could not 'feel' or diagnose anything wrong with car.
