| 2008 | 4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.1L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
It is @ least 4 mpg better hwy & city |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.1L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
better then 28 mpg on highway due to transmission gearing |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.1L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Despite the performance of the A6 3.2 it delivers great mpg for such a large car. It excels on the open road. With cruise it is possible to achieve a range of 650+ miles on a tankful. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.1L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
21=22 mpg in cit/commute/highway driving -- pretty good for a large luxury car that weighs 4000+ pounds. |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 255-horsepower 3.1L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
With the FSI and V6, I regularly see 27 mpg in city. And arround 30-32 mpg highway (no A/C on, and cruising at 80 mph). |
| 2004 | 4dr Sedan 220-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed shiftable CVT FWD |
Typically 22-24 in-town and 29-31 on the road. Excellent economy for car size and level of comfort. |

| Year | Body/Powertrain | Comment |
| 2006 | 4dr Wagon 255-horsepower 3.1L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Poor relative to power |
| 2006 | 4dr Sedan 335-horsepower 4.2L V8 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
this is not a car to be used as a city daily driver -- the best mpg you will get in all city driving is 12mpg |
| 2002 | 4dr Sedan turbocharged 250hp 2.7L V6 6-speed manual AWD |
For a car that requires 91+ octane, it would be nice if it got better gas mileage in city driving (around 16-18 mpg). The mileage on the highway is much better (up to 26 mpg). |
